The babblevoice team are working around the clock to support all of our customers during this crisis. Much of our time has been spent helping staff to migrate from their surgery or office to their home. As you will understand, the manufacturing of the equipment necessary for you to work from home stopped three weeks ago and now national stock levels of this equipment is about to run out (and may have already done so). This includes headsets and the PoE injectors needed to power phones at home. I’m writing to you today to ask that, if you have any intention of asking more staff to work from home who are not currently setup that way, to let us know as soon as possible. The last thing we want to do is disappoint you so please talk to us now rather than later.
When this equipment runs out, it will no longer be possible to use your babblevoice phone at home. The only remaining option will be to use ‘softphones’. This is software you can install on your computer or smartphone that behaves like your babblevoice phone. We have recently published blog posts on this subject and other Coronavirus crisis matters which may be of interest including the use of softphones, Coronavirus related stock recordings and advice for call handling during the crisis. This and other valuable posts can be found here
We (currently) still have a full contingent of support staff manning the helpdesk and ready to take your enquiries so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for the amazing work you’re doing. Please stay safe and well.
